1. Data on your device
Files, local PDF extraction, history, recipes and working datasets stay in your browser by default. Your browser saves the workspace and language preference. Clearing browser data can remove these copies. Cloud projects are uploaded only when you choose to save them.
Private cloud projects and review
When you upload a project or original file, our private cloud storage services save the actual files, table snapshots, recipes and run history, along with project versions, member permissions and team review records. Projects start private. Only the owner adds members; review pages require sign-in and membership. File download addresses expire after 60 seconds.
Cloud versions and original files remain until the owner deletes the project or a disclosed retention rule applies. After Pro access ends, existing projects are available read-only for 30 days for download or deletion; access is blocked after that period unless Pro is renewed. Clearing browser data does not delete cloud copies. Members can download data according to their role; removing access cannot recall copies they already downloaded.
2. Account information
Our account service handles registration, identity verification and sign-in. Account records include email, sign-in provider, verification status, registration time, and latest sign-in time. Authorized administrators can view these records to manage accounts and investigate access issues. Essential browser sign-in records keep you signed in.
3. Optional PDF cloud processing
Only after your confirmation, enhanced recognition uploads a private temporary PDF to cloud storage. A third-party recognition service receives a short-lived access link to read tables and scanned text. Source-file deletion is requested after processing or cancellation. Short-lived private result and task-state caches support retry and recovery and are removed by temporary-storage cleanup rules. Deletion may be delayed by technical failures; avoid uploading information you are not authorized to share with these providers.
4. Payments and support
The payment platform you choose handles payment details. Northmeld stores account-linked order references, the plan, amount, currency, payment status, and the terms accepted at checkout. Full card numbers and card security codes are not collected by Northmeld. The selected platform's privacy terms apply to its processing.
When you use the support form, Northmeld stores your account email, topic, message, optional order reference and support replies so authorized administrators can resolve and track your request. Support messages are also sent through our email provider. Direct emails and attachments remain in the support mailbox and are not automatically copied into the support inbox. Share only what is needed; use redacted examples instead of confidential files.
5. Security, retention, and providers
We use access controls and private storage for cloud uploads. Hosting and service providers may process technical records such as IP addresses, request times, and error logs for operation and security, including in other countries. Account and billing records are retained for service, dispute resolution, and applicable recordkeeping obligations; retention depends on the type of record and legal requirements.
6. Your choices and requests
You can choose local processing, decline enhanced recognition, export your work, or clear browser-local data. Contact support from your account email to request access, correction, or deletion of account information. We may verify account ownership and retain records required by law. Clearing local data does not close an account or cancel a subscription.
